HOUR OF THE WOLF Power of the Wolf CD

Arizona's Hour of the Wolf deliver three-chord stompers with a decided sing-songy Misfits influence in the vocals. Not bad stuff, with some decent songwriting and hooks that had me tapping my feet. I appreciate the strict economy as well; it only takes them a little over twenty minutes to run through eight originals and a Black Flag cover. Having listened to it a couple of times, I don't feel that my time was stolen from me, but you probably know what I'm going to say next:  this is, at best, a slight variation on stuff we've all heard a million times before and while good would be an appropriate adjective, great is a long ways off. Enjoyable, but not iPod worthy. [Limekiln]
