Ladytron - Velocifero

LADYTRON Velocifero CD

Understand that Ladytron was one of the few darko synth bands that are the real deal, delivering an unusual warmth that escapes most anyone that relies on twiddling knobs for the crux of their sound. Velocifero is more troubled and gothic than the band's prior efforts, like hanging notes from trees rather than previous poppier arrangements. Ladytron now makes songs, it doesn't write them. They are elegant noise-scapes full of Euro-bash drum machines and robotic executions with throwback dissonant voices at the back of the mix. Seedy and sleazy, Ladytron is a shady walk in a bright park. [Nettwerk]
